Xenophile does give you trade value though, but it forces you to fill your empire with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pops and if your main pop has Thrifty, you're probably nerfing your trade value by being xenophile. You will just need to give a little bit more alloy to your neighbour so he accepts your commercial pact. Xenophile is a good option for megacorps, just as much as xenophobe is. Not sure I want to continue watching, this is painful. If you use xenophile, you might as well put any random traits on your main pop lol, since the effect will be so diluted anyways, unless you go the genetic route and modify all of them individually. Xenophile does give you trade value though, but it forces you to fill your empire with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pops and if your main pop has Thrifty, you're probably nerfing your trade value by being xenophile, or at least, you won't see the diff between xenophobe and phile.

He also says that he won't really use armies. He also says that trade value is important for megacorps. There's plenty of wiggle room to take it.

Thing is, most of my planets have 300-400+ amenities mid-game without the repugnant malus. I haven't watched the vid though, I will.įrom the start, in his strategies video (the second one that was linked), he says repugnant is bad because of the amenity malus. It has appeal ofc for the occasional game, but it doesn't really if you're struggling to play at all in 2.2. I mean, building wide is more efficient in 99% of times. Well, from the onset "how to play tall" = "how to play inefficiently for the sake of doing a thing" They have a vested interest in making the game look good. Their income is based on lots of people playing the game and searching their content out, bad reviews mean less players and therefore less income for them. This is a huge problem amongst youtubers who strictly focus on one game. Originally posted by pete3great:I like a_spec, but he gives terrible advice.ĭid you see his video about 2.2? He essentally listed out a whole bunch of game breaking stuff like markets, AI and stuttering then said it was a great expansion worth picking up.
